Say Our Names
I lead Say Our Names, an international, interdisciplinary research and social-impact project exploring how the pronunciation, alteration and avoidance of names shape identity, recognition and belonging. Across Australia and the UK, the project has informed resources, policy conversations, screenings and wider work on linguistic racism and everyday inclusion.

Interlude: What does it mean to be culturally-mixed? with Dr. Zozan Balci
Erased Voices and Unspoken Heritage
In this episode of Interlude: A Dialogue Series on Unspoken Stories, I join filmmaker Mustafa Allawi to explore what it means to be culturally mixed, drawing on the research and stories behind Erased Voices and Unspoken Heritage. The conversation reflects on cultural in-betweenness, language, identity and belonging, and on the everyday experiences that shape where, and with whom, we feel at home.
